The good sense of Muhammad despised the pomp of royalty. Muhammad was a shining example to his people. His character was pure and stainless. His house, his dress, his food - they were characterized by a rare simplicity. So unpretentious was he that he would receive from his companions no special mark of reverence, nor would he accept any service from his slave which he could do for himself. He was accessible to all and at all times. He visited the sick and was full of sympathy for all. Unlimited was his benevolence and generosity as also was his anxious care for the welfare of the community.

77. Heeft de mens niet begrepen dat Wij hem hebben geschapen uit een levenskiem? Doch ziet, hij is klaarblijkelijk een redetwister!

78. En hij zet Ons verhalen voor en vergeet zijn eigen ontstaan. Hij zegt: "Wie kan de beenderen doen herleven als zij vergaan zijn?"

79. Zeg: "Hij, Die hen voor de eerste keer schiep zal hen doen herleven; Hij heeft kennis van de gehele schepping.

80. Hij is het, Die uit een groene boom voor u vuur voortbrengt, en ziet, gij steekt er (uw brandstof) van aan."

81. "Is Hij, Die de hemelen en de aarde schiep, niet in staat hun gelijken te scheppen?" Ja, inderdaad Hij is de Schepper, de Alwetende.

82. Voorwaar, wanneer Hij Zich iets voorneemt is Zijn gebod slechts: "Wees", en het wordt.

83. Glorie zij daarom Hem, in wiens hand de oppermacht over alle dingen is! En tot Hem zult gij worden teruggebracht.

Mashallah die was heel mooi.

Over de Imaam, de Shaykh Mohammad ibn Saalih al-�Oethaymien - moge Allah hem genadig zijn - is overgeleverd door ash-Shaykh Badr ibn Naadir al-Mishaarie:

"Toen hij terugkeerde uit Amerika na een (medische) behandeling, werd hij gevraagd over zijn gezondheid en toestand. Dus zei de Shaykh enkele woorden die het waard zijn om in goud geschreven te worden:

"Weet dat zowel ziekte als goede gezondheid niet v��r of na hun (voorbeschikte) tijd komen. Voorzeker, mijn tijd is geschreven en jouw tijd is geschreven, (zelfs) voordat Allah de hemelen en de aarde schiep. Geloof hier dus in, want waarlijk, ik geloof hierin."
